This 7th installment of the series may be one of the best books in the entire series, and yes I know I’ve rated them all four stars and above but, trust me here, this one is amazing.
The Castle Doctrine (Daniel Faust #6)Oh Daniel Faust. It’s been over a year since I read this series and I can’t get it out of my head. I’ve even gone back and listened to some of the audio books just to prolong my love of this series. Also, with more books promised by Craig Schaefer I’m excited to get more reviews out before the new books are released. So, with that, let’s dive into why, at book number six, this series is still captivating.
The Killing Floor Blues (Daniel Faust #5)Okay, so, let’s admit I need to get my life together. While I have been broken out of my reading rut I can’t get in a review writing mind frame so, I’m a slacker. So, we’re bringing it back to the remaining books of the Daniel Faust series that I’ve read to get me back on track. Also, if you’re a fan of the series we’re approaching a new release on this series sometimes in end of 2019, early 2020.
The Killing Floor Blues (Daniel Faust Book 5)When this story starts things are bad for our hero. He’s on his way to jail but something isn’t right. Not just the fact that he didn’t commit the crime he’s going to jail for but the memory of it for everyone around him. Someone is messing with the universe and making Faust the main victim.

SubmergedA graphic novel of true beauty, both artistically and literarily, Submerged Volume 1 by Vita Ayala and Lisa Sterle is a brand new release not to be missed. This is a story of many things. It is a story of family, a story of coming to terms and letting go, it’s about relationships. It is a story many can relate to, on one level or another, and one that is so very worth reading.
Crayon Shinchan, Volume 1Crayon Shinchan is a very long running anime in Japan which had a shorter run in the US. It’s also an anime I’ve watched over and over again. When I saw the Crayon Shinchan, Volume 1 by Yoshito Usui was available to read on Scribd, I jumped on it.
Buso Renkin, Vol. 1 If there is one genre of manga and anime I love above all else it’s shonen. Recently, I began Buso Renkin, Vol. 1 by Watsuki Nobuhiro, a series I know through the anime but have never read.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Vol. 3Out of the many spin off series that exist in the world of manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is probably my favorite. It offers a very different look at a society where everyone has quirks – superpowers. Instead of following teenagers trying to be young heroes we follow a regular college student named Koichi who moonlights as a vigilante.
Standard Hollywood DepravityI can finally say I’ve finished the Ray Electromatic series. Standard Hollywood Depravity by Adam Christopher is a novella set between the first and second books in the series. It’s a short, fun mystery that can be easily read as a standalone story if you haven’t read the first novel in the series Made to Kill.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Vol. 2October 2nd saw the release of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Vol. 2 by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court. This volume explores the quirk based society from the eyes of a vigilante hero while continuing with themes and questions presented both in the first volume and the series proper.
