She Can Run (She Can...#1)I am a Melinda Leigh fan so I was very excited to start this series. While I wouldn’t say I was disappointed in this I didn’t love it immediately either.
Save Your Breath (Morgan Dane #6)Okay. Okay. So….I think this is the final book in the series. I am unsure if I’m willing to let these characters go just yet but, honestly, Melinda Leigh did such a fantastic job I can’t complain if this is the actual end.
Secrets Never Die (Morgan Dane #5)Here we are with book number five in the series and I really couldn’t be more pleased to say that I enjoyed this book just as I have every other book so far. Morgan, Lance and Sharp make an incredible team and I adore their dedication to finding the truth, to their clients and to each other.
What I've Done (Morgan Dane #4)Book four kicks off pretty fast and the pace doesn’t slow down at all. When Haley Powell wakes up, covered in blood, feeling sick in a strange house and a dead young man is in the yard she can’t remember what happened but fears the worst. Morgan, Lance and Sharp must work to find the truth before it’s too late.
Bones Don't Lie (Morgan Dane #3)Okay everyone, this is book three of this series and I’m telling you now, go back and read books one and two. Immediately. Book three was an emotional ride and one I didn’t expect to feel so strongly about but I guess I’ve fallen in love with Lance too now.
Her Last Goodbye (Morgan Dane #2)Book two of the Morgan Dane series and I’m still obsessed. When young mother Chelsea Clark goes out for a girls’ night and never comes home Morgan and Lance begin their own search for answers as the local police chief, more of a figurehead than a helpful member of law enforcement, drops the ball on finding her. Lance and Morgan have to scramble as Morgan’s own family becomes a target.
I have to say the layering of the plots and the characters in this series is fantastic. We get just enough to care about each character while still being closely tied to our lead characters. I really felt for Tim Clark (the husband of the missing woman) and the glimpses into Chelsea’s captivity were startling and gut wrenching.
In this second book I fell more in love with the idea of Lance and Morgan as a couple, especially as Morgan’s own children warmed up to Lance during all the chaos.
The pace, tension and driving narrative had me turning page after page in this installment and I couldn’t believe it when I’d reached the end. So, I immediately bought the third book and pressed on. If you’re a fan of romantic suspense you should already know Melinda Leigh’s name and if you’re just joining the genre, I’d suggest starting here.

Walking on Her Grave(Rogue River #4)This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you round out a series! I have to say that while I tend to lean toward the characters in Kendra Elliot’s half of this novella series I was pulled in immediately by Melinda Leigh this time and the final book in the novella series. If you’ve read novellas one through three already, go ahead and finish the series. If you haven’t read any start with number one, you won’t regret it.
Her Grave Secrets (Rogue River #3)We’re back in Solitude, Oregon and things aren’t as peaceful as the town name implies (of course). When a skull is found on the Rogue River banks Stevie and Zane are rushing to piece all the clues together before more victims fall and before the spread of the drug takes over their town.
Gone to Her GraveIn the second novella of this series we focus on Social Worker Carly Taylor. Believing a kid has been falsely accused of dealing a lethal new drug she works to prove the kid innocent. This determination puts her at direct odds with her estranged husband Seth, the detective in charge of the investigation.
